Boeing Strike Worsens Cash-Flow Crisis
FAA Recommendation for 787 Inspections Compounds Problems
2024 a Brutal Year for Boeing So Far
A strike by Boeing machinists has exacerbated the company's cash-flow crisis, further compounding a challenging year for the aerospace giant.
The strike, which began on January 11, has halted production of Boeing's 737, 767, and 777 aircraft, as well as its 787 Dreamliner.
The FAA's recent recommendation that airlines inspect the 787 Dreamliner for potential fuselage flaws has further worsened Boeing's troubles, as the company faces the prospect of costly repairs and potential grounding of a significant number of its fleet.
