Fred Taylor is one step closer to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The former Jaguars running back was named a semifinalist for the sixth time, and this time he is one of 26 players who will be considered for induction into the Hall of Fame's Class of 2023.
Taylor was a standout player for the Jaguars from 1998 to 2008. He rushed for 11,695 yards and 66 touchdowns in his career, and he was named to the Pro Bowl five times. Taylor was also a key member of the Jaguars' team that reached the AFC Championship Game in 1999.
Taylor's Hall of Fame candidacy has been building for years. He has been a semifinalist for the past five years, and he has also been named to the NFL's All-Decade Team for the 2000s.
